Since President Obama has been in office, there has always been something.  Since day one, they have questioned this man about some of everything from his religion (him being an alleged Muslim), down to his ties with certain people. Here of late, it has been Donald Trump ranting and raving about how he wanted to see Obama’s Birth Certificate because he (and most other Republicans) didn’t believe that he was born in the United States.
Last week, Obama shared the long form of his birth certificate.  The White House released a copy of a detailed Hawaii birth certificate showing that our POTUS was born to an American mother and Kenyan father, in Hawaii, which makes him eligible to hold the office of president. Back before he was elected in 2008, he released a standard short form. Appearently, it killed nay-sayers that the form didn’t contain enough information for them. However, since Donald Trump decided that he wanted to stir up more controversy by claiming that Obama was not a “legal U.S. citizen,” he requested copies of the original birth certificate from Hawaii officials to shut up the negative talk.

In the press conference held, Obama stated, “Over the last two-and-a-half years I have watched with bemusement. I’ve been puzzled with the degree to which this thing just kept going,” Obama said. “We’ve had every official in Hawaii -- Democrat and Republican -- [and] every news outlet that has investigated this confirm that yes, in fact, I was born in Hawaii Aug. 4, 1961, in Kapiolani Hospital. We do not have time for this kind of silliness.

We’ve got better stuff to do. I’ve got better stuff to do, we’ve got big problems to solve,” Obama said sternly.
Adding, “We’re not going to be able to solve our problems if we get distracted by sideshows and carnival barkers.”
Soon after the press conference, Donald Trump had the damn nerve to take credit for getting the White House to release the document.  “Today I am very proud of myself because I’ve accomplished something that nobody else has been able to accomplish.” Trump said, adding that Obama should have done it a long time ago.
 I don’t understand how in the hell he can think that just because he brought this mess up, he single-handedly got the birth certificate released. Since the birth certificate  has been released, now what?
