5th Annual “April In Paris” Spring Tea

HOUSTON- Recently, Harris County Commissioner El Franco Lee hosted his Annual Spring Tea Party at the Mickey Leland Memorial Park, 3701 Cavalcade Street, in Northeast Houston.
The Park was turned into a Paris Sidewalk Café. This spectacular event was held in the heart of The Kashmere Gardens Community. It featured a Senior’s Fashion Show, the most unique Tea Cup Contest and the most Beautiful hat competition. More than 150 Senior citizens dressed in Spring Fashion, with stylish hats competed in these contest.
The “April in Paris” Spring Tea is among the many events that Commissioner Lee sponsors each year for the Senior Citizens in precinct One. After the contest and a good meal, a live band played “oldies” and the seniors “shook their Groove Thing”.
