High-Speed Rail Project Connecting North Texas and Houston
Marvalette Hunter of Texas Central Partners, LLC made a presentation during AHCBED‘s July networking luncheon regarding the High-Speed Rail Project connecting North Texas and Houston. Ms. Hunter informed attendees that, “This privately developed rail system will generate an estimated economic impact of $36 billion over the next 25 years – without using taxpayer funds. It will also complement the state’s existing transportation network and help prepare Texas for generations of future growth.” AHCBED expressed its support development of the high-speed rail, and believes this transportation infrastructure project will provide a safe, reliable and productive travel alternative between Houston and North Texas.
