Dr. Zenithe C. Pierre, MD. specializes in both Internal Medicine and Pediatrics which allows her to care for patients of all ages from newborns to the elderly.

A native of Houston, her journey into the field of medicine started at the University of Houston where she majored in Psychology and minored in African American Studies.

While at the University of Houston, Dr. Pierre was inducted into the Golden Key National Honor Society and granted membership into the Honors College upon graduated Cum Laude in 2001. She also is a member of the Houston Medical Forum.

Dr. Pierre cares for patients of all ages, from treatment of newborns to routine care for the elderly. She believes in preventive care and that getting to know each patient on an individual basis is important to providing quality health care.

One of her major philosophies in healthcare is allowing the patient to have an active role in healthcare decision making.

She also backs up her commitment to patient care with volunteerism and being involved in community education programs.

She volunteers her time once every 1-2 months participating in church health fairs, performing high school sport physicals, and conducting Asthma prevention workshops at local daycare centers.

Pierre also attends local school with the Doctor’s Day Outreach Program conducted by the Houston Medical forum in which students are educated about careers in the medical field.

Her education background includes attending medical school at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas. While attending medical school, she received the Ralph D. Hanna Scholarship. With an initial decision to specialize in Internal Medicine, she also developed an interest in treating children during a pediatric rotation and chose “MEDPEDS” as a specialty. She began her internship training in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at the University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore, Maryland followed by residency training in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at Baylor College of Medicine’s Affiliated Hospitals in Houston.

Dr. Pierre is board-certified in Internal Medicine and has memberships is several medical organizations such as the American College of Physicians, American Academy of Pediatrics, National Medical Association and American Medical Association.

After her formal medical training, Dr. Pierre worked as an urgent care and locum tenems with Southwest Urgent Care and Mint Physicians Staffing respectively. In October of 2011, she joined the Memorial Herman Medical Group in Pearland, Texas.

She practices at Memorial Hermann Medical Group West Pearland in Southeast Houston located at 16100 South Fwy Ste C1 100, Pearland, TX 77584.

She is a single mother of a three year old daughter and is an active member of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. and spends her free time relaxing with family and friends, traveling and roller skating.
