To think otherwise is to be idealistic versus realistic. Perhaps this viewpoint is best reserved for the young at heart where innocence and dreams of grander allow these thoughts to feel justified. Time, experience and life lessons will soon teach you that weather you like it or not, Plies is speaking reality...that is what rap...that is what hip hop does. How can we degrade another for telling the truth? Heads up and out of the sand...life isn't fair; it's just life.

For you people PRETENDING to never have heard these explicit, demeaning lyrics...get over yourself. The fact is, music has gone down the drain and it is taking the image of women, black women in particular with it. I agree, 100%, with what you wrote about the song. We can go all day analyzing the lyrics of rap and RnB songs, but that will not change a damn thing! Sex sells and people buy into it, let their children listen to it... so what can we realistically do. The first step is changing what we call 'culture'. Im sorry if I do not think that culture is big chaing, saggin pants and gold teeth! Its a poor excuse of what it is NOT...im not goin to get into that but, bottom line is if this is what the people want... thats what they will produce.

Washington and Frederick Douglass.

My apologies to everyone who though I was referring to George Washington or Stephen A. Douglass who debated Abraham Lincoln.

Douglassonian doctrine is based on agitation and his maxim of "power never concedes without demand"

Washingtonian doctrine is based on self-sufficiency and industry and his maxim of "Throw your bucket down where you are."

Polar schools of thought. Black Americans currently subscribe to the school of Douglass as the civil rights movement was about agitation. Black politics is grievance-based from a plartform of victimization.
