A Pre-Kwanzaa Ujamaa Festival featuring a children's village, face painting, arts and crafts plus lots of music
will be on hand as part of this weekend festivities. There's a long list of entertainment scheduled for the event. You can expect to be delighted with the skills and sounds of some of the areas finest African American entertainment. Here's a short list of some of the groups on hand.

Texas Brass Band
African dancers
Jazz, Hip Hop and Gospel music will reverberate the streets of Almeda for this fabulous event. It's also a chance to support some of the local Black-owned businesses in Midtown Houston and do some of your Christmas shopping with them.
The Pre-Kwanzaa Ujamaa Festival is sponsored by The S.H.A.P.E Community Center and other businesses in the area.
This magnificent street festival is an annual event and everyone is invited to come out and take part in the activities.
