Darrell is a native Houstonian, at the age of seven; found his love for gospel music through inspirational hymns. His interests then attracted him to keys of both piano and organ by age 16. Pursuant of his music ministry, he has gained invaluable knowledge and experience in the areas of songwriting, producing and music publishing. Now Minister Darrell L. Rushing has joined the ranks of Doctor receiving an Honorary Doctorate Degree of Sacred Music from Christian Bible Institution and Seminary.
