AUSTIN- The United Way Capital Area of Austin is having its quarterly Volunteer Project Leadership training scheduled for Tuesday, October 13 from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. at the United Way office, 2000 E. MLK. Blvd. Volunteer Project Leader Training is a free training program that equips volunteers on how they can become leaders and advocates in their communities, address critical social issues and develop the skills, knowledge and abilities to organize projects in their communities. Volunteer Project Leader Training is a 3-hour workshop that moves people from ideas into action and all participants are encouraged to lead three projects a year.
