I am a published author of more than 30 books novels and novellas. I own a virtual assistant company that assists authors in their quest to get publicity for their novels. While one of the most successful coaches in all of Texas, Coach Lydell Wilson is plotting plays and racking up wins, his wife Mrs. Pat Wilson, (Author Pat Tucker) is not only raising a one and five year old, she also works full time as a news director for KPFT Radio, and has quietly written her fifth novel, Proceed With Caution.
Pat makes you believe she could run a play or catch a football, but she leaves all the gridiron work to her husband. Pat admits her interests lie elsewhere. “I have always had a love for reading and writing, and a passion for telling creative stories, it only seemed natural that I take the career path I did.”
Pat has worked in both TV and Radio for more than 20 years.
“I’ve always felt somewhat limited in my 9 to 5 having to stick to the facts, so after work, I freed my mind, allowing my imagination to create the kind of stories I enjoy reading,” said Pat.
Many people ask how she manages to write with her full time job at home and at work. “Writing for me is a form of relaxation. It’s like having a front row seat into the lives of very interesting people. I don’t have to make time to write because it is my way of relaxing and winding down. And more importantly, I don’t make excuses, I simply do it.”
Pat’s current release, Proceed with Caution (Aug. 2009) is about a
woman embroiled in a secret affair with a very powerful married politician. For
Naomi Payne, privacy is a way of life, it’s crucial to the success of the secret
love affair she’s having with Texas State Representative Calvin Davis, one of
the most powerful men in Government.
