Green the Block, Houston Launches

HOUSTON- A Greener Planet Community Alliance has joined together with Green For All and the Hip Hop Caucus to launch a new campaign, “Green The Block”, to educate and mobilize communities of color to ensure a voice and stake in the clean-energy economy.
“Green the Block Houston,” will be held Friday, Sept. 11, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. at The Church At Bethel’s Family, 14442 Fonmeadow Dr. An opening service will honor those lives lost during the tragedy of 9-11 and to pay tribute to those who continue to proudly serve today.
