Recently, scientists discovered a huge planet which appears to be orbiting in the wrong direction. Instead of traveling around its host star in the same direction the star spins, this planet orbits backwards. Scientists think it got flipped around during a near collision with another planet early in life.

Researchers at the Wide Area Search for planets aptly named the planet WASP-17, although I doubt if it had to do with White Anglo-Saxon Protestant. Yet, the actions of the majority of Caucasians in America who finally woke up to the realization that there’s a Black man living at 1600 Pennsylvania, in Washington, D.C., shows that the collision of the voters will and God’s will, has left them trying to spin the earth backwards, perhaps in an attempt to take us back in time.

When Senator Ted Kennedy died, President Barack Obama, cut short his family vacation in order to be able to eulogize his friend. Janice Ellis, publisher and executive editor of USARiseUp, Inc., said Ted, the last and youngest of the four Kennedy brothers, which also included Joe Jr., John, and Robert, “certainly epitomized Aristotle’s ‘Man of Practical Wisdom’ when it came to fulfilling Plato’s vision of what government should be about, ‘seeking the greatest good for the greatest number.’” Ironically, it was Ted’s brother, Robert who predicted that a Black man would someday be president of the United States.

As attorney general, he gave a speech acknowledging the United States’ imperfections in the area of equal rights for Negroes. He pleaded, however, for recognition of the progress that had been made and for an awareness that everything pointed to continuing progress. “There’s no question that in the next 30 or 40 years a Negro can also achieve the same position that my brother has as President of the United States, certainly within that period of time.”

Although the words were spoken in an address in May 1961 and not May 1968 was widely reported, the spirit of his prediction stands. After all, he wasn’t Nostradomus. What most people don’t realize is that two years later, Congress was still debating whether or not Negroes were individuals or property. After listening to almost three weeks of testimony by individuals including high officials of the Kennedy Administration, the majority of the Congress was leaning towards the south’s argument that which centered on the supreme validity of property rights. Roy Wilkins who assumed the position of executive secretary of the NAACP in 1955 said, “What rights are thus being defended? Legal human slavery is gone, but its evil heritage lives on, damaging both the descendents of those who owned them or those who have identified themselves with that class.

“Is not the property rights argument but an extension of the slave ownership argument? The disclaimers would be loud and indignant if it were suggested that any Senator approved human slavery. But how fine is the line between approval of slavery and acquiescence in a major derivative of the slave system.”
Two years later, the Civil Rights Act of 1964 was passed, but it was born in the presidency of John F. Kennedy. Kennedy asked, “How could America condemn the Russians and turn a blind eye to the inequalities of what was clearly going on in America itself—the “land of the free”? Few Whites considered civil rights important.
When Kennedy was assassinated, Lyndon Johnson became president. Johnson fought against full implementation of the 1957 Civil Rights Act, but realized that a major civil rights act was needed to advance African-Americans. In 2009, it seems that White Americans for the most part, still aren’t interested in advancing African-Americans in particular or the world in general.

Why else would threats to the President of the U.S. be up by 400 percent? And this is from home-grown bigots—not foreign terrorists. Before Obama took office, Rush Limbaugh, the ad-hoc leader of the  Republican Party began rooting for his failure. On one of his radio shows Limbaugh stated, “I disagree fervently with the people on our [Republican] side of the aisle who have caved and who say, ‘Well, I hope he succeeds.’” He then went on to utter the four most-famous words in his career, bouyed by millions of Limbaugh clones who think just like him. “I hope he fails.”

And now we see “Christians” getting in on the act. Of course they questioned President Obama’s relationship with God for things that his pastor, Dr. Jeremiah Wright preached about. Bill Keller of Bill Keller Ministries which operates Liveprayer.Com, took the time out to swipe at both Kennedy and Obama in a “daily devotional” that asked the question “Is Ted Kennedy in Hell?” Keller, a White minister wrote, “Ted Kennedy was an enemy of God and opposed God on every major spritual issue of our day for 46 years. Yet, despite that, the Roman Catholic Church, a church that stands for life and marriage, allowed this man who helped usher in our current culture of death and destruction of family values to be memorialized within the walls of their church.

“Equally outrageous was our current President, Barack Hussein Obama, standing in the pulpit of that Boston church to deliver the eulogy. This is a man who opposes God on every spiritual issue, yet has the audacity to stand in the pulpit of a church, quote a few scriptures, and eulogize a man who spit in God’s face during his entire public life. This was simply political theater using God and His church as a prop, making a mockery of the sacrifice Jesus made on the cross 2,000 years ago!” This is the same Keller who talks about the forgiving power of God when asked about his 2 1/2 years in prison for insider trading. That’s where like most inmates he got jail-house religion. Many people think he traded one scam for another.

But now, White pastors are actually praying for Obama’s death and preaching about their hatred for the leader of this country. Last month, Pastor Steve Anderson of Faithful Word Baptist Church of Phoenix, Arizona preached a sermon he titled, “Why I Hate Barack Obama.” Anderson said he prays for the president’s death. He also said later, “If you want to know how I’d like to see Obama die, I’d like him to die of natural causes ... I don’t want him to be a martyr, we don’t need another holiday. I’d like to see him die, like Ted Kennedy, of brain cancer.”

So-called men of God like these who should be viewed in the same like of Jimmy Swaggert, Jim Baker and Ted Haggard, et al, may be the reason behind  the dismal results of a recent survey by Trinity College which found that 76 percent of Americans consider themselves Christians, compared to 86 percent in 1990. Every day, more truth comes out about the Bush administration and  the lies and deception heaped upon the American public, but the enemies of “All Things Black”, make excuses or ignore those findings and point to Obama’s inability to quickly fix the mess he found at his doorstep when he moved into the White house as evidence that he is failing. The trickle-down effect is that many ordinary citizens, mostly hyprocritical White people who can not think for themselves buy into the  O-Ke-Doke without realizing how wrong they really are.

To them, there is no difference between President Obama, NFL quarterback Michael Vick and the average street thug who happens to be Black. They preach “forgiveness and second chance,” until it comes down to Blacks. So now, another beloved superstar is found guilty, sentenced to two years and does his time, paying his debt to society for dog fighting of all things.

No disrespect to the great George Foreman, but how can you build a multi-billion dollar sport around men pummeling men, sometimes to death, while spectators pay hundreds and thousands of dollars to watch and call it legal? You can’t have it both ways. But as long as the Black man is doing the bidding of the White man, he has his blessings.

And like Kunta Kinte in the television epic “Roots,” Obama refuses to change his name to Toby, just to dance to their tune. We don’t have a hankerchief-head, feet-shuffling, “What-we-gone-do-now-boss?” as the first Black man to hold the office of President. And it is killing them.
That’s why Dick Cheney and the rest of the GOP do their best to paint him as a Black monster. It’s kind of like when White husbands murder their wives, or White mothers drown their children and say “a Black man did it.” They think that by saying so, society will believe them more because only a Black man will do such a thing. So what do White people want? Apparently they want to turn the clock backwards, perhaps all the way back to a time before 1964.
