HOUSTON- A retired group of senior citizens who affectionaly call themselves, the Do-Nut Shop gang, because they congregate almost daily, at the Shipley’s Do-Nut Shop, located at 6619 Tidwell, (at the Homestead Rd. corner) to debate and/or discuss current events, the weather, politics, sports or whatever comes to mind. The gang reduces the troubles of the world to a common denominator and they are solved each day by these self-styled philosophers.
Ohoray Davis and Marshall Garrett coordinated the annual Donut Gang picnic, which was held on the spacious ranch belonging to Davis, in Seven Oaks, Texas. The event was well-attended by the Do-nut Gang’s family members and the food was plentiful.
