A year following the establishment of a $50,000 scholarship endowment in his name, John Mayes, MS, ATC, LAT, has been commended by Texas State Rep. Sylvester Turner, Harris County Commissioner El Franco Lee and Houston Mayor Bill White. National Athletic Trainers’ Association Foundation President Mark Hoffman, PhD, ATC (left), and Executive Director John Oliver, CAE, CFRE (right), honors John Mayes, MS, ATC, LAT, and his wife Sherl for establishing the largest endowment contribution from an individual in the Foundation’s history.
