HOUSTON-  The Alliance for Multicultural Community Services will sponsor the free Home Buyer Fair to help further assist Houstonians in learning about affordable homeownership.  The Fair will be held on Saturday, August 22, 2009 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Southwest Multi-Service Center, 6400 Highstar. Attendees at the Home Buyer Fair can learn about down payment assistance programs, first time homebuyer tax credit—up to $8,000—and savings match programs to help save money for a new home.
