AUSTIN- Summer volunteers are quitting Meals on Wheels and More, creating a shortage of volunteer drivers and meal managers, particularly in North Austin, Pflugerville and Round Rock. Currently, 37 routes and meal manager positions are open, and that number is expected to increase as more summer volunteers cancel their routes to return to work and school. MOWAM staff is looking to fill 13 open routes and one meal manager position at sites in North Austin, Pflugerville, and Round Rock.
