College Opportunities in North Forest ISD

HOUSTON- The Houston Community College Board of Trustees is hosting two community meetings in order for North Forest residents to learn more about the proposed Service Plan for the North Forest community and help HCC customize the plan for the future. HCC will share ideas on the future of higher education, and the economic impact to the community. The community meeting/public hearing on Tuesday, July 14, 2009 at 6:30 p.m.
The hearing will be held at Shadydale Elementary School in (Multi-Purpose Room) at 5905 Tidwell Road. Houston Community College is reaching out to the entire North Forest community to gather ideas and input about the educational engagement benefits of joining the HCC District. Residents will learn about the proposed HCC Service Plan to expand programs and partnerships, cut tuition, increase services and improve access to higher education through the proposed annexation of North Forest into the HCC District.
Residents will be able to provide input and suggestions about how HCC can best continue to serve the community.
