DALLAS- Texas Credit Union Foundation (Foundation) recently offered a “Train the Trainer” session to current Dallas economics teachers. This free session utilized the National Endowment for Financial Education’s (NEFE) comprehensive financial literacy education program. The NEFE curriculum is approved by the Texas Education Agency for use in Texas classrooms. The Dallas ISD will incorporate the NEFE curriculum in its economics classes being offered this summer from June 17 through July 24. If the program is a success, there are high hopes that the curriculum can be incorporated into economics classes during the regular school year.
