HOUSTON- The witty, incisive and downright hilarious comedy was written by Judi Ann Mason and directed by Eileen J. Morris. “Livin’ Fat”is a story about the Cooper family. Although times are tough and money is tight, their affection for each other is limitless, a family with surpluses. Everything changes, however, when son David Lee, a college graduate, forced by the economy to work as a Bank Janitor, interrupts a robbery. In their hast to get-away, the thieves drop $15,000, that David Lee picks up. Special guests also in attendance included the Gamma Sigma Sorors Philos-Rhoers and the Phillis Wheatley Metropolitan Alumni and Ex-Students Association. Playwright Judi Ann Mason was born in Shreveport, Louisiana and is a television writer and producer. While attending Grambling State, she won the Norman Lear Award for Comedy for the “Livin’ Fat” play.Photos:
