AUSTIN- Workforce Solutions is excited to announce a new training program, funded through Travis County, that provides training to specific populations.
The Gainful Employment Model (GEM) can assist you in training for a career as an Administrative Assistant, Bookkeeper, Automotive Technician or Pharmacy Technician at Austin Community College.
Eligible individuals include formerly incarcerated persons, recipients of public assistance, persons with a disability, or young adults aging out of the foster care system. Must also be a Travis County resident, 18 years or older, eligible to work in the U.S. and have be a High School graduate or GED.
Participants will receive vocational assessment to help guide your selection of appropriate training choices; training in a high-demand occupation; sponsorship for tuition, books and related training expenses and job placement assistance upon successful completion of training.
