The Center for Terrorism Research recently released a study, called “Homegrown Terrorists in the U.S. and U.K.: An Empirical Study of the Radicalization Process.” Written by Daveed Gartenstein-Ross and Laura Grossman, the research takes a look at Westerners who have decided to turn against their own country. It examines six different steps which are particularly significant as homegrown terrorists radicalize: the adoption of a legalistic interpretation of Islam, coming to trust only a select and ideologically rigid group of religious authorities, viewing the West and Islam and irreconcilably opposed, manifesting a low tolerance for perceived religious deviance, attempting to impose religious beliefs on others, and the expression of radical political views.
There was a time when “we” didn’t commit certain acts of violence, but Colin Ferguson (Long Island Commuter Train Massacre) along with John Allen Muhammad and Lee Boyd Malvo (the D.C. snipers), changed all that.  And although the worst home-grown act of terrorism still belong to Timothy McVeigh et. al, (Murrah Federal Building bombing) I had a sinking feeling when I first heard the news that four men were arrested after planting “fake” explosives near two New York City synagogues.
The men, all U.S. citizens although one is originally from Haiti, also plotted to shoot down a military plane. The police blocked their escape, smashed the windows on their SUV and apprehended them. Although no one should turn against their own country, people of color in particular, should think twice about their actions, especially now.
It goes without saying that certain people who want to see President Obama fail, (that in itself should be considered treason) will use almost every negative thing that African-Americans do—against him. I’m surprised that they haven’t tied Michael Vick’s woes to the president’s dog, Bo. Isn’t it enough that during the presidential contest that the number one charge against President Obama was that he was a Muslim who hung out with terrorists such as Bill Ayers?
Who can forget the photo of him in African garb that proved that he wasn’t even an American citizen? Former presidential candidate Alan Keyes (a Black Judas) filed suit in an attemp to prove  that President Obama was actually born in Kenya, not Hawaii. The bottom line is although Black is in, the haters are out in full force.
The last thing we need is for people to start believing the b.s. like the installation of President Obama was a secret coup by Muslims to take over the country by planting one of their own. I still believe Colin Powell said it best on “Meet the Press,” “But the really right answer is, what if he is? Is there something wrong with being a Muslim in this country? The answer’s no, that’s not America. Is there something wrong with some seven-year-old Muslim-American kid believing that he or she could be president? Yet, I have heard senior members of my own party drop the suggestion, ‘He’s a Muslim and he might be associated with terrorists.’”
Stupid is as stupid does. If you didn’t hate your country enough to try to overthrow it when President Bush and all of the others were in charge, then why try now when a Black man is leader of the greatest nation on Earth?
