HOUSTON- When SheQuira D. Sanders was two-years-old, a life changing event happened that caused her to go completely blind in one eye. This event did not stop this young lady from continue making goals and striving for excellence. Today, the 14-year-old will be inducted into the National Junior Honors Society on May 20. Sanders, a student at Bailey Middle School, is a member of many extra-curricular activities including the Concert Girl’s Choir. An Honor student since first grade, she will attend Spring High School taking all sophomore classes as a freshman. This outstanding young lady is the proud daughter of Ms. Sheron Bennett.
