Ms, Verna Caddie is an Educator,Lecturer,Community Volunteer, Beauty Advisor, Certified Etiquette Instructor proud mother of 3 and Founder of Casting Your Cares, Inc & Devine Creations of which are nonprofit 501(c)(3) organizations. She has a compelling passion to help economically disadvantaged and underprivileged girls residing in the Houston area. She developed and refined the organization which teaches etiquette, personal development,self esteem,debutante and cotillion balls. Devine Creations: Debutantes/Cotillions is proud to present its 4th Annual Debutante/Cotillion Ball. Which will be held on March 5, 2010 at the Lovely Greenspoint Club, which is located in the Greenspoint area.
This year, Devine Creations have 10 young ladies .Keyonna Neal, Kelsey Garrison, Brandi Carrier, Anneleshia Yarbrough, Keiarrah Fleeks, Keichara Fleeks, Kimberly Alaniz, Raegan Robinson, Dymond Neal and Heaven Edmonson, will participate in this years ball also known as the Cotillion.
The annual Cotillion Ball in Houston’s Greenspoint Area is quite an amazing affair. Beautiful young ladies in white evening gowns know as debutantes are presented and escorted by some of the most finest young gentlemen in Houston.
The ball is the culmination event of an eight month- long process that starts in early September when applications are due from prospective participants. The Cotillion is a very valuable event to the students. Debutantes must attend workshops in: etiquette, being a lady, table etiquette, college prep, relationships, abstinence, and a host of other empowering workshops. Debutantes have the opportunity to meet,work with and establish positive, lasting relationships with other Debutantes. They also have the chance to work effectively and cooperatively with adults from the community, these community leaders volunteer their time as guest speakers.
Devine Creations is a local nonprofit organization. Devine Creations Mission Statement:” Empowering Young Ladies Through Etiquette, while Creating Beauty Inside & Out”.
Devine Creations Vision is to: "Empower positive change in the lives of girls by allowing them to know that they can be the best that they can be, and that the opportunities do exist, not because of who they are, but because of whose they are.
Devine Creations is an award winning educational enrichment nonprofit dedicated to building self esteem and leadership capability to girls ages 8-18 years of age. Our programs support the achievement of physical, mental, social, emotional, spirituals and economic success.
This years ball will also be a fundraiser, which will help Devine Creations – Devine Prom Project help young ladies with free prom gowns to wear to prom.(www.devinepromproject.org).
