Jazmon Marshall, an outstanding senior at Aldine High School
ALDINE- Jazmon Marshall has been an Honor Roll student for five semesters and on the Merit Roll for one semester. She has maintained perfect attendance for six semesters and has earned outstanding Math Awards for May 2007 and 2008. She is a suberb track star as well, obtaining an Outstanding Track Award Merit Roll for the 1st six weeks of her senior year. Marshall is a member of the Renaissance Team, Texas Association of Future Educators, and the Ladies of Class Step Team. She is academically strong and has strong communication skills.

This Homecoming King is an honor roll student and has perfect attendance. He received second place for the United Methodist Church Martin Luther King essay competition and is currently enrolled in Advanced Placement and Duel Credit classes. He placed fourth in the UIL Math competition and advanced to Regionals in the UIL History Fair. Denman placed 1st in the Skills USA project competition on State level. This outstanding student of the week was accepted into the University of Texas at Austin and Baylor University with a high GPA of 3.67. Denman’s community service includes: an usher at St. Marks United Methodist Church, assisting the Texas Dental Association, filing papers for teachers, helping with stage performances at Aldine High School, assisting at the Student Council Spring Convention, volunteering with food bank at St. Marks United Methodist church and Houston AIDS walk. Also, Denman is currently employed at Chic Fil A and is an active member of Student Council, AISD Dream Team, UIL Current Events team, and Speech and Debate team. Denman held many positions and is involved in several extra curricular activities including: Vice President of National Honor Society, Class Historian, Skills USA, Yearbook Staff, and Student to Student Peer Mentoring. Other areas that Denman have participated in include the Black Methodist Church Martin Luther King Essay Competition, attended Texas Southern University Summer Jazz Workshop, and Summer Basketball league with YMCA. In addition, Denman was one of two students chosen to represent Aldine as a student in Leadership North Houston.
