Gail Warrior-Lawrence
DESOTO- Gail Warrior-Lawrence, a native of DeSoto, Texas, was born to Melvin and Dorothy Warrior. She is president and CEO of Warrior Group, Inc., in DeSoto, Texas, her home town. The company was formed in 1997 when she prepared a business plan to become a provider of permanent, modular buildings; a trusted source with a quality product, quality process and good, smart people.

She began the business on a shoestring, calling on friends and family to help build the company’s infrastructure and staff her emerging business. Mrs. Warrior-Lawrence blends her talent for marketing and communications with a career history that spans years as a senior accountant at an oil company, a bachelor’s degree in accounting (Clark Atlanta University) and a master’s degree in marketing (University of Dallas).

Under her leadership, Warrior Group has received numerous awards including the 2009 Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year – SW Region, 2009 ICIC & BusinessWeek SmallBiz Inner City 100 Fastest Growing Companies, 2009 NAWBO/Wells Fargo Trailblazer Award and the BE 100’s list for 2008 and 2009, among several others. In 2008, Warrior Group was ranked nationally by Entrepreneur Magazine as one of the “50 Fastest-Growing Women Owned/Led Businesses in North America” and by SMU Cox Caruth Institute for Entrepreneurship as one of “The Top 100 Fastest-Growing Privately Held Companies in North Texas.”
Recently, Warrior Group was ranked #5 on SMU Cox’s Dallas 100 and Dallas Business Journal’s 100 Fastest Growing Companies. Warrior Group has annual revenues approaching more than $120 million per year and is the largest woman-owned provider of construction services specializing in permanent modular and construction management in the U.S.

She is married to Wayne, (vice president of development) and she is the mother of a wonderful little boy, Corey.
