Dear Editor:
Like him or not, President Barack Obama has ushered in a new era in the African-American community. Those who make a living off the civil rights industry of extortion are going out of business because of the Obama presidency. It is a matter of time before people wise up and come to realize that something has changed in America.
African-Americans sense that something has changed. There has been a paradigm shift and the civil rights movement is now more obsolete than ever. In fact, we have been living in the post-civil rights era since 1968 when Dr. Martin Luther King was assassinated. Now that the 40 years of wilderness wanderings are finished, the time to cross the Jordan and enter into the Promised Land is at hand. But, it will take planning. Black America will need to be intentional instead of relying on others or waiting for some dream to materialize.
Dreams are for those who are asleep. I have a plan for those African-Americans who are ready to awake from the civil rights slumber and take control of their destinies.
