THE CLASSIC version of the crucifixion of Jesus the Christ bears a distinct resemblance to European denizens.

Does racist American believe in
Jesus the Christ?

“We believe in one God, the Father Almighty, maker of all things visible and invisible. And in one Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God, begotten of the Father, only begotten, that is, from the substance of the Father, God from God, Light from Light, very God from very God, begotten not made, of the same substance as the Father, through whom all things were made, both things in Heaven and things in earth; who for us men, and for our salvation, came down and was made flesh, was made man, suffered and rose again the third day, ascended into Heaven, and shall come to judge the quick and the dead. And in the Holy Ghost.”

The TLOD Incorporated Houston Chapter

The Top Ladies of Distinction (TLOD) Incorporated Houston Chapter, hosted an “Honors Fashion Show Luncheon”, African American Educators Making A Difference, at The Brady’s Landing, 8505 Cypress Street, Houston, Texas. Over 350 ladies, along with their guest, enjoyed a “set down” lunch as the “Lords” and “Top Teens” escorted the Honorees, to the music by Drumgoole and Company.

DELL HUBBARD PAYTON was always partial to the Easter holiday, not only because she was a very fashionable lady who loved to dress well, but it just so happened her birthday fell within the Easter Season (FYI: Before 325 CE, Christian communities celebrated Easter on a variety of different days of the week, but the Council of Nicea, called together by Emperor Constantine, issued the "Easter Rule" which standardized Easter observance to the first Sunday after the first full moon--known as the paschal moon-- on or
after the vernal equinox.

Student Uprising or
Second Civil Rights Movement?
With thousands of Hispanic students leaving school and taking to the streets because of the immigration issue being debated in Congress, the uprisings could signal the beginning of a second civil rights movement. Like former predecessors, young Blacks in the 1950s and 1960s, young Hispanics came out in droves in Dallas, Fort Worth, Arlington, Grand Prairie, Denton and other municipalities to send a strong message that the hard work of their forefathers and parents will not be disrespected and are determined not to cower and wane because a few authority figures want them to calm down.

East Texas News
As the immigration issue rages on between the American Government and 11 or 12 million immigrants, one has to ask the question, “What made America turn on the people who have been providing cheap “slave like” laborers for America since the Mexico versus America War?” If you listen to some of the political pundits in Washington, “National security is the motivation behind stopping illegal entry into the United States. I heard another group of “talking heads” on television say illegal immigration is putting a strain on government services and taking jobs from Americans.

PUBLISHER’S ANALYSIS
by Roy Douglas Malonson

Are Black pastors who worship a
White Jesus stuck on stupid?

I’m sure that most of African-AmericanNews& Issues’ audited estimated 2 million readers know that Shirley Ann Malonson, the CEO of Shirley Ann’s Black Arts & Kollectibles Show Room (in Malonson Company Inc’s complex at 6130 Wheatley) is my wife as well as my business partner. I’m saying that so that you will understand why I know so much about Black religious figures, including the Black Madonna with Jesus the Christ child.

INSIDE & ONLINE
AFRICAN-AMERICAN NEWS & ISSUES

TwiliteZone—I’m sure my detractors, who’re convinced that I’m an intolerant racist, no doubt will be surprised that a card stating, “Just read the current issue of the African-American News&Issues. It reminded me that I haven’t seen or talked to you in a while. I miss that…you have always been a friend! Hope you are well. Keep fighting and keep writing,” was signed by Chief J. C. Mosier, of the Precinct 1 Constable’s office. Mosier, who looks like the tough lawman he is (unlike many of his predecessors) went out of his way to make sure I got everything the mainstream media got when he worked in HPD’s Media Relations office in the ‘70s. He read my stuff and we didn’t pull no punches when we discussed racial issues. You might say he’s a warrior who fights as hard for his folks, as I fight for mine. Yet, we became friends instead of adversaries. Thanks for the memories J. C. God just keeps on blessing both of us.
