JUDGE ALEX SHOW

By Jesse Simon

Victor Simon is The Bailiff on The New Judge Alex Television Show that is going into its second season Fox 26, 3P.M daily, Monday–Friday.
He is the only son of Jesse and Dorothy Simon, who grew up in The River Wood Sub-division, Northeast Houston and is a product of the North Forest I.S.D. M.B. Smiley High School, class 1978.
Victor earned his degree from Southern Methodist University and played, Outside Line Backer, on the Mustang Mania Football Team that played Brigham Young University in the 1980’s, Holiday Bowl. San Diego Caliph, along with teammates, Eric Dickerson, Craig James, Harvey Armstrong, Lance McLhenny, Michael Carter, Michael Charles, Gary Smith and other.
Victor had a short Pro-football career, after being cut from the Cincinnati, Bengal’s (NFL) and Denver Gold (USFC), he played two years for the Edmonton, Eskimos, CFL, after being cut by them he came home to Houston and tried out for the Oilers.
Armed with his “sheepskin” he hit the job marked wanting to be a football coach, he applied in NFISD, the informed him he needed a teaching certification. Victor was accepted in The Harris County Sheriff’s Academy and graduated class B3-86, 1986, he moved on to become a Bailiff in the Harris County Court System until being promoted to Detective, which he now serves. While life was moving on, he met and married the love of his life, Sandra Gaines-Simon, to this union two children were born, Victor Jr. and Londyn Nicole.
Victor has one sister, Teri Simon, owner and operator of Hair by Teri, 2419 Dowling @ McGowan Street. He also serves as Deacon to The Garden Oaks Church of Christ, John Tillman, Jr. Minister.
Opportunity came knocking at Victor’s door when he heard, “Over the Vine,” there was an audition being held for a New Judge Show in town.
He was accepted for the job, a “Real” Bailiff serving with a “Real” Judge and as History has proven, Judge Alex Ferrer and Victor Simon complement each other and have become not only co-worker but personal friends.
I can say on a personal note as a proud father, my son, daughter, wife, daughter-in-law and grand children has fulfilled my life.
