What “WE” have is
a failure to communicate

“I personally felt that Joyner’s behavior is a result of racism. Black men in key positions to influence black people, such as Joyner and some black leaders have always used black folks to their advantage, by fooling them. What he did was to attempt to hurt African-American-Owned newspapers by literally mocking them and make a condescending remark about it being a mere ‘satire.’ He exhibited the crab-in-the-bucket mentality. After all, we do have some of the same advertisers (customers) as his syndicated show. This could have been his senseless way of competing.”-Lavera Floyd, Pub-lisher Emeritus of The Dayton Defender.

That's how wikipedia describes legend, but it is Craig Anthony Washington who defines it.

PAUL FELTON LAWRENCE epitomizes the millions of African Americans who were motivated by more opportunities and a better life for their families, which were offered in large cities at the dawn of the industrial age. Paul’s generation moved to larger cities in such overwhelming numbers until that era of population of transition was called The Great Migration.

East Texas News
The recent controversy surrounding University of Texas super quarterback Vince Young’s ratings on a NFL intelligence test, is another way “the system” uses “counterfeit” tests to control Black people! The way I see it, most of the recent unnecessary “post completion” or “end of game” tests which in my mind includes the state required TAKS tests for students, are very unfair. They weren’t put in place in most cases to determine the qualifications of people, but to discriminate, segregate and deny, based on “their” interpretation of intelligence.
