TOM JOYNER (in “cheaters”) promotes himself to be “Black to the bone,” but his disparaging remarks about Black newspapers in the past gives one cause to pause and ponder if he’s real.

Is there a Black media?

“I personally felt that Joyner’s behavior is a result of racism. Black men in key positions to influence black people, such as Joyner and some black leaders have always used black folks to their advantage, by fooling them. What he did was to attempt to hurt African-American-Owned newspapers by literally mocking them and make a condescending remark about it being a mere ‘satire.’ He exhibited the crab-in-the-bucket mentality. After all, we do have some of the same advertisers (customers) as his syndicated show. This could have been his senseless way of competing.”-Lavera Floyd, Pub-lisher Emeritus of The Dayton Defender.

Dallas: Underneath The Facade

It was a tale of two cities, with Blacks and Whites living in two different worlds in Dallas. The second 50 years of history for Blacks was mixed with the terror and intimidation of the Ku Klux Klan and a stubborn white power structure that refused to give up an inch of power.

East Texas News
Owning a professional sports team is a great and wonderful achievement for Black people. It shows the world that Black people are getting into the financial side of sports and business. Now that we’ve come this far as a people, in my mind it’s time to start the Black banking system that is much needed to combat racism that Black people face daily at our nation’s banks and financial centers. We’ve discussed many times at length the combined wealth of African Americans and how it places them among the 10 or 15 richest nations in the world.

“TSU Two’s” activism revisited Black America’s history

On Feb. 20, 2006, I was listening to KCOH radio in my truck when a caller to the popular Person-to-Person talk show said something about TSU’s problems that got my attention. “That young man should be worrying about getting his education, rather than trying to bring down the school’s administration,” the obviously history challenged caller chided Justin Jordan, one the three young men dubbed The TSU Two (Student Senate president Oliver Brown was missing in action at the initial press conference), who feels betrayed by his politically impotent elders that assumed the posture of the handicapped monkeys (hear, see, speak, know no evil), that our old African warrior often allude to in his Eyeviews.

TwiliteZone.com—I appreciate young people who recognize me at funerals, or other events that walk up and tell me to keep up the good work. Unfortunate-ly, I often lose whatever I write their names on, thus if you recognize the Bud’s Eyeview maven on the photo, who complimented me at Wheeler Avenue BC, please tell him that This Bud’s For You…. A shout out is also due Derick Malone, who lives in Jasper, Texas, but called just to say that he loved the old African warrior’s stuff and spirit. May your home be safe from Tigers young warrior.
