Maury Wills: Bringing Baseball Back to the ‘Hood a Priority for Baseball Great
The game of baseball still
has a place in the hoods’ across America, according to former L.A. Dodgers’
shortstop, Maury Wills.
“We are doing all we can to get African American kids at a young age
interested in baseball again,” he said. “We are missing out on all the good
athletes going into other sports.”
Wills said children today are more interested in instant gratification and
results, and are not in a frame of mind for any more advice. |

Until racism cease to exist
in America, I will continue to write about, fight and challenge it at any
level. That’s my answer to the people who say I am too focused on racial
issues and negative things happening to Black people in America. “Freedom ain’t
free,” never has been and never will be. Assaults on the civil rights of
a historically oppressed and disenfranchised people up from slavery will
always be a news worthy subject in the mind of this journalist.

Proactive Solutions for Racial Injustice from Fed Up Victim of Racial Profiling
Busi Peters said she refuses
to be the victim of “death by a thousand little cuts.”
She is tired of taking episodes of injustice cut by cut. Peters has directed
her energy to solution and action, rather than passively letting people in
positions of power cut her until she slowly bleeds to death, after
experiencing racial profiling from Rice University police. |
