Wilmer-Hutchins ISD: Voting Rights under Attack; Residents Face Taxation without Representation

Dallas Mayor’s “Idiot” Comment Is a Catalyst for Recall Petitions

Referring to a former African American police chief as an idiot is turning into a political nightmare for Dallas Mayor Laura Miller. “Where is it written in scripture that African Americans and people of color are idiots,” said the Rev. Stephen C. Nash. “We are morally convicted, and so are other leaders who love Dallas, to show Mayor Miller that hate and ridicule and kicking folks when they are down is morally unacceptable.”

I know you’ve heard about the five-year-old Black girl recently arrested and handcuffed by police at her school, unless you’ve been off the planet lately or live in some remote cave without modern communications. This mindless racism act should open the eyes of the most skeptical critics of Black people and other minorities they say use the “race card’ and cries of racism to get their way. The last time I checked, most five-year-olds are not even in the first grade! Where are we headed with this madness?

Wilmer-Hutchins ISD: Voting Rights under Attack; Residents Face Taxation without Representation

James Otis is credited with the statement “Taxation without representation is tyranny.”
Could it be true residents and students in the Wilmer-Hutchins Independent School District are victims of tyranny?
On May 7, Cedric Davis, Sr. and Brenda Duff were duly elected as school board members to the Wilmer-Hutchins ISD, but the voice of the people was nixed and muted, because Texas Commissioner of Education Shirley J. Neeley decided to remove the current school board and install a five-member managers board to run the district.

"We are all inclined to judge ourselves by our ideals; others, by their acts."
