Houston’s Solution for Tsunami Victims Team Up with Houston Fire Department to Continue Medical Relief Drive

U.S. Rep. Shelia Jackson Lee (D-TX) and alliance group “Houston’s Solution for Tsunami Victims” composed of consul offices, local humanitarian organizations, federal, state, and local officials, are holding a medical relief drive and “Save the Children” effort today. The event is being held at the University of Houston’s Recreation and Wellness Center. Loemadi D.M. Brotodiningrat, Ambassador to the Republic of Indonesia traveled from Washington D.C. to Houston to participate.


WELLS FARGO COMMITS $30,000 TO HUSTON-TILLOTSON COLLEGE

Wells Fargo announced today it has committed $30,000 to Huston-Tillotson College for 2005. Since 2000, Wells Fargo has donated more than $70,000 to programs that benefit Huston-Tillotson and its students.
"At Wells Fargo, we believe that we have a responsibility to help meet the educational needs of the students in our communities," said Rick Burciaga, Wells Fargo Community Banking regional president for Greater Austin.
