Sport’s “Dark Side”

BARRY BONDS is too arrogant to be embraced in USA.

MICHAEL JORDAN was Uncle Tom in $150 sneakers.
Traditionally, society does not consider a person racist for manifesting a culturally superior attitude about his or her language, religion, morality, manners or some other aspect of ethnicity. Such individuals are most often considered good citizens, proud of their family, community and heritage. Yet, contemporary American society is frequently labeling these individuals racist because of the institutional characteristic of racism.

PUBLISHER’S ANALYSIS

Pres. Bush is a White Hero

KWIESI MFUME “punks-out.”

Although I often confess that “I might be crazy, but I ain’t stupid,” but the fact that I keep exposing myself to public scrutiny (not only continuing to publicly express my personal opinion weekly on the front page of Texas’ widest circulated and read newspaper with a Black perspective... but putting my photo on an editorial that all too often challenge political correct points of views), certainly leaves room for doubt. On the other hand, since I had already had been branded as an angry Black man, who “says what he means and mean what he says and don’t give a damn who likes it,” therefore it would be downright hypocritical for me to express myself differently in Publisher’s News Analysis.

Black Leaders Prepare For Showdown To Determine Dallas’ Future

African-American leaders are promising a strong fight over a proposal that could change the way Dallas is governed well into the 21st Century.
The struggle involves a group of conservative political and business leaders from North Dallas seeking a special referendum to allow voters to decide whether to abolish the council-manager form of government in favor of adopting a “strong mayor” form or government- a move that would give Mayor Laura Miller more power to govern the nation’s ninth largest city.

Bilingual Education Legislation Expected to Shape African-American Progress and State’s Future For the Next 50 Years, Leader says.

The push to ensure African-American children are bilingual and able to compete for future job opportunities moved forward this week with State Sen. Royce West filed a bill in Austin promoting dual language instruction in all Texas public schools by 2007.
“We are aware of the demographic and ethnic changes that our state demographer Steve Murdoch has forecast for Texas in the 21st Century,” West said after filing Senate Bill 61. “By 2026, the Hispanic population is projected to become a majority of the state’s population. This legislation will create incentives for our teachers to learn Spanish so they can better prepare our students in public schools where a majority of the kids are of Hispanic descent.”
