JIM BROWN HITS PAYDIRT

Two great icons, Jim Brown, legendary football star and longtime community activist, and A. Demetrius “Tony” Brown, trading and commodities mogul and founder of Las Vegas based CMX Sports and Entertainment, introduced the “United Front for Economic Growth.” In May 2004 CMX Sports Entertainment sponsored a Benefit Gala “Honoring Legendary Pioneers.” Saluting Mr. Jim Brown, Legendary Sports Pioneer and Chairman of the “Amer-I-can Foundation for Social Change”. “The power is in the relationship,” said CMX Chairman A. “Tony” Demetrius Brown, announcing his organization would donate $1 million to the Amer-I-Can Foundation. With celebrated Sports TV Host Roy Firestone entertaining as Master of Ceremonies, the star-studded event was held in the expansive Mandalay Bay Grand Ballroom, with notables such as Julius “DR. J.” Erving, Bill Russell, Eddie Levert of the O‘ Jays present, just to name a few. Houston’s own Warren Fitzgerald Jr., Attorney At Law wrote and delivered the Life/Mission statement of the “United Front for Economic Growth” the operating concept of the joint efforts of CMX Youth Foundation and the Amer-I-can Foundation for Social Change. Attorney Fitzgerald, a seasoned trial lawyer of recent Destiny’s Child litigation fame, and Winston Morgan of CMXSE were instrumental in bringing together Tony “The Tycoon” Brown and Jim Brown for meetings, which culminated in this historic union.

CMX Sports and Entertainment is pioneering in the sports and entertainment industries with the concept of creating economic leverage and ownership through collective action and the pooling of resources through the financial/investment vehicles of “PAAICO” and “THE CLUB”, both the brainchild of the “Tycoon”. Jim Brown and the Amer –I- Can has been working in the inner cities of America with gang members and disadvantaged communities since 1988 redirecting human potential. CMX Sports and Entertainment and CMX Youth Foundation proudly joined hands with Jim Brown’s Amer-I-can Foundation for Social Change to combine the CMX financial and productive resources with the wisdom and curriculum of Amer-I-can Foundation, to facilitate the betterment of our communities, the creation of economic leverage and the regeneration of the lives of youth and those seeking positive change in their lives. The United Front for Economic Growth plans numerous events and projects in major cities across the country in the coming year.
