announces their seven scholarship recipients
SSLW is pleased to announce seven (7)
2004 Competitive Academic Scholarship Recipients from seven (7) high schools
in three (3) school districts in Fort Bend County, Texas.
The selection criteria is based on excellence in community service,
academics, and leadership. Students are required to submit typed application
packets signed by students and parents, write an essay, submit an official
transcript, and provide two letters of recommendations annually by March 1.

Lamar Consolidated Independent School District Recipients Shawn E. Davis
Lamar High School Guy G. Williams Foster High School Stafford Municipal
School District Recipient DeLisa Nichelle Rideout Stafford High School.
Former recipients may re - apply ,June 1 - July 31 , annually for a
continual scholarship. Continuing Scholarship Packets must be typed, signed,
dated and contain the following: name; permanent & college addresses;
telephone numbers - home, college, & cell; email address; emergency contact
& number; high school & year of graduation; social security number;
statements of your goals, successes, & challenges; documented current
community service; current self portrait; full time student enrollment
verification; official college transcript with seal & computed cumulative
GPA; appropriate name, title, department, address, telephone, fax, email,
etc. to receive continuing scholarship check in August; and July 31 U.S.
Mail Postmark. Late and or incomplete scholarship packets will not be
considered. Continual scholarship recipients will be notified via telephone
and mail /email in August.
The awarded scholarship amount will be forwarded to the college / university
in August annually.
