Lest History Repeats
Black America mustn’t take voting for granted

REP. MAXINE WATERS (D-CA), never takes (real or imagined) attacks on her people lightly, therefore she considered the possibility of America canceling another check that had been written to Black America very seriously. On April 2, 2001, she was appointed by House Minority Leader Richard Gephardt (D-MO) to hold hearings and town hall meetings throughout America to watchdog our voting processes.”

A Black perspective of State of The Union speech

Braun, the only black woman ever elected to the Senate, quit the Democratic presidential race and endorsed front-runner Howard Dean, giving him a potential boost with African-American voters.

U.S. President George W. Bush kisses Serita Jakes of Dallas, Texas, after she read a prayer at a luncheon for African-American clergy spouses, January 19, 2004 at the White House. JOSEPH A. CHATMAN, M. D.
JOSEPH A. CHATMAN, M. D. was no doubt smiling down from heaven as his militant spirit was demonstrated by Prairie View A &M University’s young African warriors who commemorated Dr. Martin Luther King Jr'. s’ birthday, by marching on Waller County’s political leaders that are bent on denying students the right to vote in their municipal elections.
