Combating everyday prejudices
DALLAS Larry Jarrett, J.D. of the U.S. Attorneys
Office will be presenting two free lectures called C.O.P.E.-Combating Our Prejudices
Everyday. The first lecture will be offered Wednesday, October 23, 2002 from 6:00 p.m. to
9:15 p.m. at Lovers Lane United Methodist Church at 9200 Inwood Road in Dallas. The second
lecture will be offered Thursday, October 24, 2002 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:15 p.m. at Richland
College-Neches Hall, 12800 Abrams Road, also in Dallas.
Free CEUs are available, including three hours for LMSW, LPC, LMFT, LCDC and ethics, and
3.6 Type 2 CEUs for RNs.
The C.O.P.E. lectures give information on eliminating minority stereotypes, reducing
racially motivated hostility and encouraging broader intercultural understanding and
appreciation. This event is open to the public and free of charge. Limited seating is
