Foundation grants 2002-2003 scholarships
Twenty Tarrant County College students have been awarded
scholarships through the TCC Foundation. The one-year old Foundation has embarked
upon a new mission of service to give highly talented students and the faculty of
TCC, the opportunity to excel and achieve, said David Jackson, chair of the TCC
Foundation Board of Directors.
The generosity of endowed donors, faculty, staff, retirees and community benefactors
and the foresight of long time supporters of the College and their families, are
generating the financial base for deserving students to attend Tarrant County
College, Jackson added. Fourteen other students received up to $1,500 through the
Tarrant County College Foundation Scholarship, awarded for the first time this year. The
Mario Hernandez Memorial Scholarship will be awarded later in the fall.
