Dallas premiere of “For Real” movie presented by New Millennium Studios and Girlfriends Coffee Talk

DALLAS - New Millennium Studios & Girlfriends Coffee Talk invite the public to the Dallas, TX premiere of “For Real” a Tim Reid film, movie screening Friday, October 25, 2002 at the Naomi Bruton Theatre at the Black Academy of Arts and Letters, Inc. Dallas Convention Center Theatre Complex.
“For Real” is a romantic comedy set in the vibrant world of urban music... A My Fair Lady…from the hood! Director, Reid also stars as Mac Sinclair - a music mogul and classy lawyer who’s got it all. Cece is a sexy ‘round the way girl, and the headstrong niece of Mac’s trusted housekeeper. After a run-in with the police, CeCe is put on lockdown at Mac’s waterfront estate by a vengeful judge with an old score to settle. Cece and Mac under one roof becomes a clash between Old School style and New School flava! Sparks fly and walls tumble in a surprising mixture of urban romance and comedy. This hot new film had its world premiere before an enthusiastic audience on the Tom Joyner Fantastic Voyage!


“For Real” is being independently distributed by New Millennium Releasing and will only be seen in select cities nationwide! Reid is an Emmy-nominated actor and producer, and has been a mainstay in the entertainment industry for three decades.


He starred as “Venus Flytrap” on the popular CBS series “WKRP in Cincinnati,” and has had many other starring roles over the years, including “The Richard Pryor Show,” “Simon & Simon,” “Frank’s Place,” “Snoops,” “Save Our Streets,” and the hit WB series “Sister, Sister.”  He has directed and produced critically acclaimed films, “Once Upon a Time When We Were Colored,” and “Asunder.” In 1997, Reid and his wife Daphne Maxwell Reid co-founded New Millennium Studios in Petersburg, Virginia, setting the stage toward becoming a major player in the business of movie making for the new millennium.
