It’s harvest time at Pleasant Hill BC

“October is Harvest Month for Christians. The harvest is the result of many things: the sacrifice of time, energy and money. For the body of Christ, however, underlying these things is hope in Jesus, the Lord of the Harvest. We plant seeds. God gives the increase in due season,” is how Leocadia Hooks, the coordinator of special events at Pleasant Hill BC, 1510 Pannell @ Lyons, explains what will be taking place at the church.

The Harvest Prayer Calendar has events scheduled throughout the month that culminates with a Prayer Breakfast at the Victual Restaurant, 3815 Lyons @ Pannell, on Oct. 26 that will be followed by the Annual Brotherhood & Missions Day on Sunday, Oct. 27, that will have services at 7:30 a.m., 11 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.

A 3-day Revival (Oct. 28-30), will begin at 7 p.m. and offers a special treat, since Rev. Delbert Mack, pastor of Cathedral of Faith BC in Beaumont, Texas and a former pastor of Fifth Ward Baptist, will be one of the guest evangelists.

Also bringing the word will be Rev. C. E. McLain, pastor of Little Union BC in Shreveport, La. and Rev. Rick Jordan, associate pastor of Concord BC in Dallas, Texas. Call 713/224-0052 for more information.
