A celebration of life in loving memory of Mrs. Dimple Ree Littleton

On Sunday, September 15, family members and friends said farewell to Mrs. Dimple Ree Littleton.  She was born May 16, 1914 in Hempstead, Texas to Mr. Robert Sanders and Mrs. Lillie Richards, the 10 child of 14 siblings where she attended public schools. 

She accepted Christ as her personal savior at an early age.  Dimple was united in holy matrimony to Mr. Brady Littleton on December 23, 1937 and moved to Houston in 1945 where she united with Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. V.S. Dickey. 

She was a faithful member for nine years until moving to the Garden City Park Subdivision in 1954 where she united with Magnolia Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. I.H. White.  Dimple served as president of the Pastor’s Aide and matron of the Youth Department.  In 1967, she united with New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Dr. W.H. Dudley where she continued her work with the Youth Department.  On September 11, the Lord called her home. 

She was preceded in death by her husband.  She leaves to celebrate her life in loving memory:  three daughters, Lillie Mae Veasley, Annie Mae Jones, Donna Elaine Bond, four grandchildren, Louis Ann Robinson, Joe N. Veasley Jr., Jacqueline (Royal) Davis, Deloris L. Bond; four great grandchildren, Robert Anthony, Jelessa, Jonae and Joseph; and a host of other relatives and friends.  Rev. Reginald Rice officiated the funeral service and the eulogy was by  Pastor Allen Troy Rice of Together We Stand Christian Church.   Bro. Stevie Roberts rendered special selections. The active pallbearers were Rev. Kwon Jackson, Tommy Sanford, Quency Smith, Willie Kirkland, Joe Veasley and Robert Davis.  Melton &Melton Funeral Home was entrusted with the final arrangements located on 8011 West Montgomery Road in Houston, Texas.
