TAAACC holds
Fourth Annual Conference and Bid Fair
DALLAS, TX - The
Texas Association of African-American Chambers of Commerce (TAAACC) will hold its Fourth
Annual Conference and Spot Bid Fair, Thursday and Friday, September 19-20, 2002 at the
Adams Mark Hotel-Dallas. Business and political leaders as well as representatives
from chambers of commerce across the state of Texas will be in attendance.
In conjunction with the conference, TAAACC is hosting a Doing Business Texas
Style Spot Bid Fair, which offers an afternoon of networking, bid opportunities and
bid awards for historically underutilized businesses within the State of Texas. Among the
notables scheduled to speak at the conference are Dallas County Commissioner John Wiley
Price and one of Americas foremost political figures, Reverend Jesse Jackson,
president and founder of the Rainbow/PUSH Coalition.
TAAACC Chairman Reginald Gates stated, Our primary focus is to establish a statewide
network of African-American chambers to encourage uniformity toward the creation of a
strong economic base and improved opportunities for African- American business enterprises
throughout the state of Texas. Conference registration fees are $40 for Members,
$100 for Non-Members and $150 for Corporations & State Agencies. Exhibit booth fees
are $150 for Members, $250 for Non-Members and $500 for Corporations & State Agencies.

Formed in 1988, TAAACC promotes the interests of the African-American community statewide
through effective leadership and the development of programs and services that foster
economic development, networking, education, business expansion and advocacy.
