Huston-Tillotson College holds September 11 worship service

Huston-Tillotson College will hold a worship and celebration of life service at 7 p.m. Wednesday, September 11 in the King-Seabrook Chapel at the college, 900 Chicon Street in Austin.  
The program features a special tribute to police officers and firefighters by Iris Jones, Austin Police Monitor; and performances by the College's Concert Choir and a special community children's choir under the direction of  Dr. Gloria Quinlan. 

Words of encouragement will be given by Rev. Tom VanStadt, Congregational Church of Austin, and Rev. Joseph C. Parker, Jr., Pastor, David Chapel Missionary Baptist Church.

The public is also invited to a special noon worship led by HTC students on Sept 11, and “911: A Dialogue” on Tuesday, Sept. 10 from 11:30-12:30 p.m. in the Davage-Durden Student Union.
