Dallas Museum of Natural History the Museum, 3535 Grand Avenue in historic Fair Park
presents Texas Scariest and Deadliest, an exhibit that debunks the myths and
explores the truths about deadly plants and animals. The exhibit also includes a large
collection of venomous snakes, a real five-foot yellow jacket nest and a beehive. Open 7
days a week from 10 a.m.- 5 p.m. Children under three and Museum members are admitted
free.

The second Irving Citizens Fire Academy class will begin in September. Classes
will be held from 7 to10 p.m. on Thursdays beginning Sept. 5. The 11- week course will be
held at the Irving Police and Fire Training Academy, 2603 Esters Road. The program is free
and open to anyone who lives in Irving. Attendees must be at least 18 years old to
participate. The class is limited to 15 people. Registration applications are available at
