Three G
Communications Celebrate 10th Anniversary
Three G Communications, a Houston-based communications management firm,
recently celebrated its 10th year anniversary with a festive reception at Mackey Gallery,
5111 Center. Founded by seasoned professional communicator Janice Gibson, the company
specializes in public relations, marketing communications, and leadership development.
The nearly 100 guests
included the companys clients, vendors, friends and community leaders. Among them
were Dr. Carol Lewis, newly-appointed METRO board member; Barbara Shook, Houston Bureau
chief of Oil & Gas Daily; Richard Huebner, executive director of the Houston Minority
Business Council; Darcy Baron, executive director of the Womens Business Enterprise
Alliance and Marian Nimon, supplier diversity manager at MD Anderson. Proclamations and
distinctions were received by Governor Rick Perry, Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee, Mayor
Lee P. Brown, Commissioner El Franco Lee, and State Representative Sylvester Turner.
The Kathleen Knikopf Modern Mythology exhibit from New Mexico served as a backdrop for the
evening with music provided by international jazz artist Louie Carrington and delicacies
prepared by Chef Felix Ford, owner of Fords Catering, both clients of Three G
Communications. Austin artist Dione Overshown was commissioned to produce a commemorative
poster for the occasion which was given as a gift to each guest.
It is a blessing to have made it to this important milestone in our companys
history, especially during these chaotic economic times when so many businesses are
folding, explained Gibson, president of Three G Communications. We are
delighted to celebrate this milestone with those who have helped us along the way.
Three G Communications provides full-service support for both internal and external
communications projects for public and private sector entities. During its 10 year
history, the companys clients have included Prudential, Houston Cellular (now
