Double
Blessin twin gospel singers set for Taking God Back To School Pep Rally
FORT-WORTH - ShereKhan
and SheredQuan Evans are twin 12-year old 6th grade students attending Wedgwood 6th grade
center in Fort Worth Texas. Both are A and B honor roll students who love to spread the
gospel of Jesus Christ through variations of gospel hip-hop and the spoken word.
The twins are also known as Double Blessin
and have appeared at numerous community churches and on Apollo Kids (which will air on
August 10, 2002). They are the 2002 winners of the Singing Hills annual Get
Krunk talent show at Singing Hills recreation Center in Dallas Texas.
Double Blessin won the Renaissance Culture Club annual
Gospel Explosion talent show in 1999.
Their future aspirations are to continue to spread the gospel, but on a worldwide level,
to touch the lives of people of all ages in a positive way and to be a positive roll model
for young people in todays society. In an effort to give back to the community for
all of the love and support that has been shown to them, the twins have decided to take
the winnings from several talent shows and donations from various community churches to
sponsor a Taking God Back to School pep rally.
They will give away starter packs of school supplies to students in need. The day promises
to be a fun-filled event including concessions, entertainment, motivational speaking,
several chances to win a free haircut and announcement of an essay contest winners. The
event will be cosponsored by Nicole Taylor owner/operator of Exquisite Beauty and Barber
Salon at 2222 Handley Drive in Fort Worth, Texas on August 17, 2002 from 4:00p.m. until
8:00p.m.
Double Blessin has received numerous donations from family, friends and their
parents co-workers and the twins are still accepting donations.
