Texas
Association of African American Chambers of Commerce announces 4th annual conference
The Texas
Association of African American Chambers of Commerce (TAAACC) will convene its 4th Annual
Conference.
The event is scheduled to be held Thursday and Friday, September 19-20, 2002 at the Adams
Mark Hotel in Dallas, Texas.
The TAAACC promotes the interest of the African-American statewide community through
effective leadership and the development of programs and services that foster economic
development, networking, education, and business expansion advocacy.
The explosive growth in the creation of African-American-owned businesses, coupled with
demographic changes, which were revealed in the results of the 2000 census report, demands
a new level of activity from chamber organizations on behalf of their members.
Formed in 1988, the TAAACC works to encourage uniformity in strategies used in the
creation of a strong economic base and to improve opportunities for African-American
businesses.
