Farrakhans motives explained
We pray this
letter finds you in the best of health and spirit, enjoying the blessings of Allah (God).
We are writing to clearly state the position of The Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan and
The Nation of Islam as it relates to the tragic events of September 11, 2001 and the War
on Terrorism. In addition, we are seeking to explain Minister Farrakhans motive for
his current Africa Middle East Peace Initiative.
For the record:
We condemn the September 11, 2001 attacks on the World Trade Center and Pentagon
We mourn the loss of life and injuries resulting from these attacks
We commend the police and firefighters who risked their lives on that day and
everyday
We support the governments efforts to punish those responsible for plotting
these attacks
We deplore the cycle of violence and loss of life in the Middle East and Africa
We support justice for the Palestinian people while recognizing Israels right
to exist in peace
We believe overthrowing the Iraqi government will result in negative consequences
for the U.S. and the World
We desire that no harm come to the nation of our birth by way of terror and war
We believe no combination of terrorists can destroy America, she is inviolable,
only Allah (God) can destroy America
There is no need for a clash of civilizations. The Muslim world has much to learn from the
West and the West has much to learn from the Religion of Islam. However, our
governments policies toward the Arab and Muslim World must be balanced and just.
America can only find peace by exercising justice. By creating a climate for dialogue, we
can make a great future for America, and, under her rule, a peaceful world can come into
existence. To do otherwise, is to trigger the War of Armageddon.
On June 17, 2002, at the press conference announcing his Africa Middle East Peace
Initiative, The Honorable Louis Farrakhan said: Winning a war is much easier than
winning the peace. We believe a no talk policy is insane. Only by ending the cycle
of violence, seeking truth and engaging in sincere dialogue can we achieve lasting peace.
This is why Minister Farrakhan has gone overseas. After the last bomb is dropped, last
bullet fired and last soldier buried, we ask the question: how do we win the peace?
Your servant,
Robert Muhammad
