The Austin Eastside Story Foundation invites
the public to join in the festivities of the 4th Annual Roosevelt Leaks Celebrity Golf
Tournament on Friday, at Circle C Golf Club.
The Austin Eastside Story Foundation is a 501© 3 agency,
providing community access to emerging technologies and enhanced educational opportunities
for children and their families living, working and attending school in East and Northeast
Austin and Pflugerville. The Eastside Story Afterschool Program assists more than 800
students from public,charter and private schools in East and Northeast Austin and
Pflugerville by providing assistance with daily homework assignments, TAAS tutorial
services and computer technology training for students ages 5 through 13 years. The
tournament benefits the foundation's Science,Math and Technology Summer Camp, an
eight-week intensive camp which operates from early June through late July. A true
pioneer, Roosevelt Leaks is a graduate of UT/Austin and former Longhorn and National
Football League player. He is a parent of a student in the program and actively supports
the work of the foundation with time and talent.
